Pancakes with Attitude

May 26, 2018  |  9 a.m. – 11 a.m.  |  North Vernon Elementary

Saturday, May 26th from 9-11am, enjoy all you can eat pancakes with trimmings and support the Foster Grandparents Program at North Vernon Elementary School. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for kids or purchase a family ticket for $20 (covers family of four). Catch your share of flying pancakes, learn about what Foster Grandparents do in Jennings County schools, in the community and how incredible they are! You will be supporting the 1:1 mentoring and tutoring they provide in Jennings County classrooms. Breakfast is provided by Chris Cakes of Indiana and volunteers will host the event. Tickets are available from Foster Grandparent Volunteers, by calling the program office at 812-372-6918 ext. 2769, from Main Source Bank in North Vernon and at the door on May 26th.

Foster Grandparents make positive and long lasting contributions to a child’s wellbeing, help them build self-confidence, and succeed in school. Locally, the Foster Grandparent Program is sponsored by Thrive-Alliance, and serves Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Jackson and Jennings Counties. If you are caring and compassionate, able and willing to spend time in the company of school children and their teachers, and happiest when you are needed and appreciated, we need people just like you to help our Jennings County school children at a critical time in their development. To learn more, attend the “Pancakes with Attitude” event and meet some of our Grandmas and Grandpas, or contact the Program Director at 812-372-6918 ext. 2769.
