The Thrive Alliance Nutrition Site in Nashville, Indiana recently celebrated National Nutrition Month. In honor of this year’s theme, “Celebrating a World of Flavors”, meal site attendees were asked to share recipes from their heritage and childhood for Beth Hummell, Thrive Alliance Nutrition Coordinator, to serve for the event.
The meal included Hungarian goulash, German sausage with peppers and onions, Scottish scones, Irish soda bread, Greek cucumber salad, fresh fruit salad and Italian Lemon cola.
The group participated in nutrition related games and shared stories from childhood, including how the meal brought back many fond childhood memories.
